A day in the life of the Kiddywinkers.
Here at Kiddywinks we pack a lot into our days, here's a taste of what to expect!
Every day at Kiddywinks is different, filled with lots of opportunities to play, learn and grow. We run lots of activities taking place both in and outdoors to help the children to develop skills and confidence.
Our routine changes day-to-day depending on the child ages, the weather and what activities are available but here's an example of the kind of things we get up to...
8.00am
It's breakfast time!
Let's sit down and enjoy the lovely warm toast and a variety of cereal in our individual rooms.
9.00am
Let's have a tidy-up!
We tidy up and get ready for circle time. Say Hello to all our friends at nursery today. Depending on the room ages we talk about how we are feeling, what shall we do today, what’s the weather like today and what day of the week is it?
9.00 - 10.00am
Free Play
Whether its outside in the garden or inside, we have a snack at 9.45am
10.00 - 11.00am
Activity time
Focused activities based on the children's interest. As well as music and movement sessions.
12 noon
Lunch is served!
Children return to their allocated rooms, where lunch is served.
12.30pm
Sleepy eyes
Sleep time for those children who need it.
12.30 - 2.00pm
More fun...
A variety of outdoor play and focused activities.
2.00 - 3.00pm
To the Top table
Tabletop activities to encourage turn-taking, sharing and new sensory experiences. The Baby Room & Toddlers will go outside to play during this time.
3.00 - 3.45pm
Outside Play
The children get to outside in the play areas and vegetable garden or take part in music time.
3.45pm
Tea Time
We offer a light tea to all our children.
4.00 - 5.00pm
Wind down...
Calm activities and reflecting on the days' adventures!
5.00 - 5.30pm
Sing-song & story time...
Quiet time, singing and stories. Before heading home.
